The idea for 53 North Candle Co. was born where the woods meet the waves.
Located right on the 53rd parallel north, our home is shaped by a unique landscape, where dense, towering forests collide with the crisp, salted air of the rugged coastline. Life at this latitude teaches you the true value of comfort.
When the ocean winds howl and the evenings draw in, there is nothing quite like stripping away the chaos of the day, striking a match, and transforming your home into a cozy sanctuary.
Driven by a passion for sustainability and clean craftsmanship, we began experimenting right here at home.

We deliberately chose 100% coconut wax for our candles. It provides an incredibly clean, slow burn and a superior scent throw.
All our candles and wax melts are vegan & cruelty free, as we love our little animal friends!
Pouring countless test batches, we paired this premium wax with traditional, amber apothecary jars to create a timeless look that feels like a remedy for the modern world.
We believe a candle should be a sensory escape, by housing our coconut wax in a classic apothecary jar, we bridge the gap between old work, simplicity and modern luxury.
Each candle is thoughtfully designed in a small batch, handpoured.
